Former Iowa resident, Mark Eldon Schlueter, 63, died July 30, 2020 at his home in Kansas City, Missouri. Mark was born November 17, 1956 in Davenport, Iowa, to Ida and Tib Schlueter.
After graduating from Central High School he attended Iowa State University where he earned a metallurgical engineering degree. After graduation Mark moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he purchased a home and worked at the Bendix Federal Complex which produced non-nuclear components for the United States nuclear bomb arsenal. After being laid-off from Bendix, Mark was self-taught in computers and was able to find employment in that field. The last year of Mark's life was a struggle with alcoholism to which he succumbed to in July 2020.
Although divorced, his ex-wife Jenny Kerr would like to say thank you to Mark for giving her 2 wonderful sons. Mark was cremated and interred with his parents at Davenport Memorial Park. Preceded in death by both of his parents Ida and Tib in 2012. He is survived by two sons Aaron (Julia) of Kansas City, Missouri and Branden of Kansas City, Missouri.
