BETTENDORF-Otto Dietrich passed away on 1/08/2021 at 93. Born in the Czech Republic, he survived WWII in Germany and emigrated to Canada in 1951, where he married Philomena Heck. They moved to Iowa in 1961. He worked at Alcoa from 1963 to 1991, before moving to Oregon in 1999. An avid reader of history and science, Otto acquired admirable skills in construction and gardening. He was an eternal optimist; enjoyed good conversation, chess, ping-pong, and traveling.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Philomena; and is survived by his daughters, Angela and Marlene; grandchildren, Eric, Andrea, and Savanna; and great-grandson, Jackson.
