Services for Mrs. Rudolph Petersen, 86, Davenport, were held May 26 in Durant. Mrs. Petersen died May 23 at Davenport. Burial was in the New Liberty cemetery.
Six grandsons were pallbearers: Elmer, Rudy and Arthur Petersen, Charles Miller, Clarence Reiels and Delmar Marten.
Born in Germany May 24, 1887, the former Doris Spickermann came to the United States at the age of 6. She married Rudolph Petersen Feb. 18, 1896. He died in 1935.
The couple farmed in the New Liberty area until 1928 when they retired. Mrs. Petersen moved to Davenport in 1951.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gustav Wendt, Davenport; 3 sons, Emil, Arthur and Leonard, all of New Liberty; 11 grandchildren, 4 grant-grandchildren and a brother, Johannes Spickermann of New Liberty.
Her husband, 2 brothers and a son, Arnold, preceded her in death.
