Funeral services for Karen Marie Ells, 77, of Bettendorf, Iowa, will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2020 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Masks are recommended. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, next to her son, Randy. Family will greet friends on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Karen passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, after a series of medical complications.

Karen Marie Wildermuth was born on September 28, 1942 in East Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Alvin and Jennie (Lewis) Wildermuth. She worked in retail for K-Mart on 23rd Ave (Avenue of the Cities) until she retired. She also worked for Walgreens on 53rd St and Utica Ridge Rd. in Davenport.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Sarah (Urbain) Ells of Davenport; her grandchildren, Blake (Josh) Tack, Marissa Ells (Alex Mackenburg), Elizabeth Ells and Jennifer Ells; her step-grandson, Christopher Poole; her 3 great-grandchildren and her 2 step-great-grandchildren; her 5 nieces, and a longtime co-worker and true friend, like a sister, Ruth Kronfeld of Moline, Illinois

She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Ells; her parents, Alvin and Jennie Wildermuth, and her brothers, Gene and Keith Wildermuth.
