Funeral services for Jon J. Sievers, 8, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Sievers of New Liberty, were held in Davenport April 18. Burial was in Memorial park at Davenport.

Jon, a second grade student in the Bennett Community school, died in Mercy hospital at Davenport April 16.

Death was due to pneumonia. An autopsy showed that he had swallowed a part of the plastic cap from a pen or pencil.

He is survived by his parents, two sisters, Sally and Sue; a brother, Bryan; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Sievers, Davenport; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Koester, Duncombe, and the maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Thompson, Badger.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran church at Durant.
