Joy Lee Jarrett, 81, of Bettendorf, Iowa, and formerly of Maquoketa, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020, at Bettendorf Health Care Center.

At Peace Cremation services have taken place. A private burial will be held at a later date at the Andrew, Iowa Cemetery. Carson Celebraton of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.

Joy Lee Eggers was born on May 21, 1939 in Savanna, Illinois to Earnest Otto and Lulu Dorothea (Rogers) Eggers. She grew up in Sabula and was a graduate of Sabula High School. She married Leonard Ray Jarrett in December of 1959. They later divorced; four children were born to this union, Julie, Kenneth, Janet and Dennis.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Janet Clark of Bettendorf, IA, and Dennis (Holly) Jarrett of Elk Horn, IA; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ray Eggers, children Kenneth Jarrett and Julie Hankemeier, and a grandchild Jessica Joy Hankemeier.
