Funeral services for William H. Lehms, 76, Durant, were held at Davenport Sept. 4, with burial in the Blue Grass cemetery.

Mr. Lehms died Aug. 31 in a nursing home at West Liberty. He had been ill since March.

Born in Montpelier township in Scott county March 31, 1886, he farmed in that area many years before moving to Durant. Recently he had been employed as a painter.

Surviving are 3 sisters, Mrs. Sophie Stramp, Iowa City; Mrs. Alvina Alt, Blue Grass, and Mrs. Adelaide Fridley, Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers.
