Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Monday, June 15, 2020 in The Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 4- 7 P.M. Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Online tributes and condolences may be made at www.therungemortuary.com

Karon was born June 23, 1948 in Davenport, Iowa to Vernon and Amanda (Struck) Latham. She was united in marriage to John Bruns on April 30, 1977 in Davenport.

She retired from Genesis West Medical Center after many years of service.

Karon enjoyed collecting statuary, gambling occasionally, and planting her flower garden.

Those missing her dearly include her loving husband of 43 years, John; sons, Jim and Bill Bruns; sister, Janet Kraklio and brother, Albert Latham. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Vernon “Sonny” and Henry Latham and a sister Charlotte Koert
