Gary Clifford Barber, 75, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away Wednesday morning, May 27, 2020 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf after recently being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

He was born June 24, 1944, in Clinton to Clifford and Evelyn (Fischer) Barber. Gary graduated in 1962 from Central Community High School, DeWitt. He was employed for 30 years at John Deere and Company, retiring in 2000.

Gary was a Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. In earlier years he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Gary also enjoyed going to the casinos.

Surviving are his mother, Evelyn Barber of Eldridge and his brother, Alan Barber of Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Preceding Gary in death was his father, Clifford.

Following Gary’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
