Derrik E. Bolton January 21, 1960- May 3, 2020 DAVENPORT-

Derrik E. Bolton, 60, of Davenport, IA, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Sunday, May 3, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. Per his wishes he will be cremated. Derrik was born a son of Edwin and Ruth (Loney) Bolton on January 21, 1960 in Iowa City, IA. He was married to his highschool sweetheart, Debbie Block, on August 2, 1980 in Davenport, IA. Derrik worked for Bowe Machine Company for 40 years before he became ill. Derrik loved spending time with his family and granddaughters. He enjoyed going fishing and golfing, and his greatest passion was playing blue grass music. He was also an avid Chicago Bears and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Those missing him deeply are his loving wife of 39 years, Debbie; children, Emily (Clark) Butler and Jacob (Liz Vondera) Bolton; granddaughters, Nola and Delaney Butler; sisters, Twylah Hill and Darllah (Mike) Simmons; brother, Dion Bolton; brother-in-law, Robert (Sarah) Block; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Tanjilah Rangel; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Evelyn Block. The family would like to thank Genesis Hospice and Dr. Chitneni for their loving care of Derrik.
