Funeral services were held Feb. 15 at Durant for Mrs. Frank (Emma) Boldt, 88, who died in Jamestown, N.D. last week.
Emma Riessen was born Feb. 8, 1975 in Scott county, the daughter of James and Anna Riessen. She was married to Frank Boldt June 25, 1902. The couple operated a lumber yard and grain elevator in Alfred, N.D. until retirement about 20 years ago.
Survivors include her husband; 9 sisters, Mrs. Minnie Dietz, Mrs. Cecilia Dietz, Mrs. Agnes Jepsen, Mrs. Julius (Ella) Schroeder, all of Davenport; Mrs. Anna Werner and Mrs. Arnold (Lillian) Sindt, both of Walcott; and Mrs. John (Edna) Kupper, Everly; and one brother, James Riessen, Durant. One sister preceded her in death.
The Rev. James L. Carlson officiated at the service. Max Lauser sang the funeral hymns accompanied by Mrs. Leroy Frick at the organ. Pallbearers were Melvin Riessen, James Schroeder, Herbert and Walter Dietz, Clemens Werner and Ralph Volkman. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.
