Albert W. Kluever, 66, Davenport, former Bennett resident, died Nov. 9 in Mercy hospital, Davenport, after an extended illness.

Services were held Nov. 11 in Davenport. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery.

Born in Scott county Nov. 15, 1894, Mr. Kluever married Bertha Prien Dec. 15, 1920, in Davenport. The couple farmed in Scott and Cedar counties, returning to Davenport in 1949 to retire. Mr. Kluever was then employed by the Cashway Lumber Co. until ill health forced him to retire.

He was a member of the American Legion Post of Bennett, and a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Dorothy) Sissel, Walcott; 4 grandchildren; 5 sisters, Mrs. Kate Hindrichs, Mrs. Frieda Kluever, Mrs. George (Emma) Frick and Mrs. Harvey (Ellen) Wessell, all of Davenport, and Mrs. Rueben (Ella) Anderson, Moline, Ill.; 2 brothers, Emil, Durant, and Walter, Eldridge.

A sister and brother preceded him in death.
