Sankara Pillai Ravindran Nair, a doting husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on October 31st, 2019, at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife, Shyamala Nair, Daughters Sunita Nair and Sangeeta Nair, Son-in-laws Reghu Nair and Shri Borde, and three grand daughters Roshni Nair, Rhea Borde and Trisha Borde.

Ravindran Nair was born on 26th Aug, 1935, in Kerala, India. He left Kerala at the age of 20 when got an opportunity to work for the government of India. Ravindran Nair was a highly intelligent and fun person, who loved to socialize and share stories about his life experiences. He was a food lover and loved cooking as much as he loved trying different kinds of food. His work gave him the opportunity to travel the world, which exposed him to various cultures, cuisines and experiences. He was also a problem-solver and was the first to put up his hand to work on any project at home. He loved children and always wanted to be around them. He raised all his grand-children and always talked about them and their accomplishments. He will be missed!

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov 2nd, from 4-6 pm at The Runge Mortuary & Crematory, 838 East Kimberly Road, Davenport, IA 52807.
