Miss Christina M. C. Kruse passed away last evening at 5:30 o'clock at her home, 310 Bismark street, after a short illness. She was born Feb. 14, 1845 in Eckefoerde [sic - Eckernförde], Germany, and at the time of her death was 65 years and 6 days old. In 1847, she came to America with her parents, directly to New York, where she resided until 1855, when she removed to this city.
Her mother died 20 years ago, and since that time, she has kept house for her father who passed away two years ago. Surviving her are a sister, Mrs. F. C. Fahrenkrug of Davenport; a brother-in-law, F. C. Fahrenkrug; and a sister-in-law, Miss Theresa Kruse. A number of nephews and nieces also survive. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence, 310 Bismark street, with interment in the family lot in Oakdale cemetery.
