Funeral services for William (Bill) Jurgens, 66, 813 Spaulding Blvd., Davenport were held Monday in Davenport, with burial in Davenport Memorial Park.

Born near New Liberty, he married Lena Leese in Davenport in 1929. The couple farmed in Scott and Cedar counties before retiring in 1942. He had been employed by Strunck's restaurant, Davenport for the past 14 years.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Vernon Schaefer, Davenport; 3 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Johannes and Albert, both of Davenport and Herman, Durant; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ernest Burmeister, Lowden, Mrs. Gilbert Popp, Atalissa and Mrs. Alfred Awartz, Stockton. A brother and sister preceded him in death.
