Dixon, Ia., Feb. 16 - Joseph Holt, a pioneer of Dixon, died at the home of his son, Wm. Holt, Friday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock, at the ripe old age of 82 years, 7 months and 18 days. Mr. Holt was born in England and came here from New York when a young man. His wife preceded him in death some years ago. He leaves to mourn his death two sons, John Holt of Sutherland, Wm. Holt of Dixon, and one brother living in England. The funeral took place here Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with interment in the Dixon cemetery.
