Mrs. Caroline Zimmerman, a resident of Davenport for the last 25 years, died at 3:30 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.H. Simpson, 399 East Eleventh street, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Zimmerman was born in Baden, Germany, April 22, 1854. She came when a young girl to Victor, Ia., where she was married to Conrad Zimmerman. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist. Mrs. Zimmerman came to this city about 25 years ago.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. H.F. Heiden of Clark, S.D.; Mrs. H.H. Simpson, Mrs. L.C. Cooper, Miss Clara and Miss Ida Zimmerman, all of Davenport; on son, Henry Zimmerman of Chicago, two sisters and 12 grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Runge Morturary. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
