Services for Ernest Swetina, 87, of 1616 Robeson Ave., Bettendorf, will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 2 p.m. today at the McGinnis Funeral Home, Bettendorf, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Swetina died Wednesday in St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Swetina had been employed at French & Hecht until retiring in 1955. He was born in Austria. He married Alice Ertl in 1913 in Bettendorf.

Mr. Swetina is survived by his wife; daughters, Mrs. V. H. (Esther) Jensen, Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) Sehmann, Mrs. Everett (Loretta) Springmeier, and Mrs. Leonard (Alice) Kindelsperger, all of Davenport; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and brothers Robert, Pittsburg, Calif., and Simon, Dublin.
