Funeral services for Miss Josephine Swetina, 36, of 1326 West Lombard street, Davenport, who died in Mercy hospital yesterday after a brief illness, were held at 9 this morning in Our Lady of Lourdes' church. Burial was in St. Marguerite's cemetery.

Miss Swetina was born in Austria on March 17, 1900, and came to Bettendorf in 1905. She was educated in Bettendorf schools and moved to Davenport three years ago. She had been employed in the nurses' home in Mercy hospital until she was stricken two weeks ago.

Surviving are three brothers, Ernest Swetina of Bettendorf, Michael Swetina of Detroit, Mich., and Albert Swetina of Milwaukee, Wis.; one sister, Mrs Mary Conwell of Rock Island, and two step-brothers, Simon and Robert Swetina of Oakland, Cal.
