Victor A. Randolph, father of Dr. Jeptha F. Randolph and of Dr. Aaron Randolph, Anamosa, died of a sudden heart attack while working on his farm last Thursday, May 25.
Mr. Randolph was a life long resident of Pleasant Valley in Scott County. He had lived on the old family homestead since childhood. Mrs. Randolph's parents had settled on the homestead in 1830.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes, and a son, Thomas, and is survived by 9 children, Mrs. Paul Silverie, Albia; Dr. Aaron Randolph, Anamosa; Lewis Randolph, Clinton; Mrs. Gene Foley, Alerwood Manor, Washington; Mrs. William Jacobs, Davenport; Dr. Randolph, Mechanicsville; Mrs. Frank Ehrsam, Bettendorf; Mrs. Frank Costello, Long Grove and Mrs. Jack Krieter, Davenport.
He is also survived by 39 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial is in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
