Mrs. Hannah Carstens, 75, a lifelong resident of Davenport, died in her home, 3651 Boies avenue, at 11:05 p.m. Thursday after a six weeks illness.

Mrs. Carstens was born in Jamestown near Blue Grass, July 30, 1877. Her marriage to Hugo Carstens took place Oct. 31, 1900 in Davenport. He died Dec. 1, 1918. She was of Lutheran faith.

Survivors include two sons, Charles and Walter Carstens, and two daughters, Mrs. John Lykam and Mrs. Fannie Langfeldt, all of Davenport; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Rostenbach, Buffalo. Five sons, a brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

The body was removed to Horrigan funeral home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. William Eller will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery.
