PETER WULFF, WHO ATTEMPTED SUICIDE, MEETS DEATH AT LAST
While the Knife Wounds Were Not Fatal of Themselves the Loss of Blood Hastened the End of the Disease Racked Man.
Peter Wulff, the patient at Morbonia hospital, who attempted to take his life Sunday by stabbing himself in the temple and hacking at his neck, got the release he sought yesterday morning, when he passed quietly away. He was in the last stages of consumption and could not have recovered his health.
Had he been a well man, the wounds inflicted by the dull knife would not have been fatal. He was so weak at the time of the deed that he could hardly plunge the weapon into his body. But the loss of blood so weakened him that the end was undoubtedly hastened as a result of the wounds.
Mr. Wulff was born in Germany where his parents still reside. It cannot be learned that he has any relatives in this country. He had worked in this vicinity as a farm hand for nearly a dozen years, a good deal of the time being spent in Clinton county, from where he came to the hospital.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon from the Hatrwig undertaking parlors. The interment will be in Fairmount cemetery.
