Mrs. Mary E. Eckstein, 30, a resident of Davenport for 25 years, died in Mercy hospital at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday after an illness of the past five days.
Her home was on Fishertown road.
The former Miss Mary Gamble, who was born in Paris, Mo., in 1913, and was married to Harold Eckstein in Davenport, on Sept. 4, 1933.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Janice; one son, Robert, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gamble of Davenport; two sisters, Mrs. Harold Teetor and Mrs. Daniel Hartley, both of Davenport; and three brothers, Pvt. Charles Gamble in England; Dallas and William Gamble, both of Davenport.
Funeral services will be held in the Runge chapel at 2:30 p.m. Friday, followed by interment in Fairmount cemetery.
