The Times-Democrat; Wednesday, February 2, 1972:

Mrs. Mathilda "Tillie" Gold, 91, Buffalo, died Tuesday in Davenport Osteopathic Hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Calvary Lutheran Church, Buffalo. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. today to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Runge Mortuary.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church.

Mathilda Rauch was born in Buffalo. She married Preston Gold in 1903 in Buffalo. He died in 1955.

She was a charter member of Buffalo Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Gold is survived by sons, Floyd, Davenport, and Clarence, Buffalo, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
