Buffalo Woman Will Be Buried Saturday
Mrs. Rosie Ella Rauch Dies at Davenport
Was a Lifelong Resident of Muscatine and Scott Counties -- Funeral to Be Tomorrow
Buffalo, Ia., May 7 -- Word was received here today of the death of Mrs. Rosie Ella Rauch, a well known resident of this community, at the home of her sister, Mrs. George Stapleton at Davenport. Mr. [sic] Rauch had been ailing for some time and went to Davenport about ten days ago for treatment. Her death occurred yesterday morning.
She was born in Muscatine county Jan. 1, 1881, her maiden name being Rosie E. Mounts, and had lived almost all her life in Buffalo. She received her education there and was united in marriage in that town to George Rauch on March 15, 1905. Mrs. Rauch was a member of the Buffalo Pythian Sisters and of the Saints church. The survivors are her husband, George Rauch, and a daughter, Miss Marie Clark; her mother, Mrs. Mary Mounts and three brothers, Sylvester, Jacob and Roy Mounts, all of Buffalo, and one sister, Mrs. George Stapleton of Davenport.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the family home in Buffalo, with services in the Christian Union church. Interment will take place in Rosehill cemetery.
