Davenport Daily Republic – Apr. 3, 1897

At the family residence, at 418 East Ninth Street, yesterday morning, occurred the death of Miss Ellen Steele, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Steele. Deceased was 18 years of age and had resided in this city all of her life. Consumption from which she had been a sufferer for some time was the cause of death. The funeral will be held this morning with interment at Oakdale.
