Philip H. Germain, 63, a life resident of Davenport, died at 7: 45 p.m. Friday at his home, 241 West Thirtieth street. Death terminated an illness of five months' duration.

Mr. Germain was born June 18, 1866, in Davenport. He received his education in the local schools and resided here his entire life. On Nov.. 20, 1899 he was married to Miss Helen Buhler in St. Anthony's church by the late Very Rev. D.J. Flannery. Mr. Germain was an employe of the Rock Island Arsenal for more than 30 years. He was a member of the W.O.W. Surviving besides the widow are two brothers, Harry of Rockford, Ill., and Edward of Chicago.

The funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday from the late home with services at 9 o'clock at St. Paul the Apostle church. Burial will be made in St. Marguerite's cemetery.
