Last evening at 6 o'clock at his home 1111 West Sixth street occurred the death of Frank J. Michel at the age of 78 years. He had been a resident of the city for the past 35 years and was a native of Byron, Germany. For four months he had been lingering waiting for the coming of the end. He was a prominent member of St. Joseph's Benevolent society.

As surviving relatives of his immediate family he left the following to mourn his departure, his wife Margaret, two sons, Tony of Chicago and Frank of this city, two daughters, Mrs. August Kroeger and Mrs. Hugo Behrens and three step children, Peter Staver of Moline and Mrs. Joseph Mohr of San Francisco, Cal.

The funeral will be held Monday morning with services at 8 o'clock at St. Joseph's church and interment at St. Mary's cemetery.
