OBITUARY.

GRESS.

After a long and serious illness Andreas Gress died yesterday at his home, 923 Ripley street. He was 62 years of age. He has been a respected citizen of Davenport since 1881 and has followed his business, that of a stone mason here. He was a native of Westheim in Bavaria. He leaves a wife and six children, Mrs. Margaretha Wiggers, Mrs. Kunigunde Hinrichs, Miss Agnes Gress, Burghardt, Max and Susie Gress. The funeral takes place Friday morning at 9 o'clock from the late residence with interment at St. Joseph's cemetery.
