OBITUARY.

TICKEL.

There was a very sad death at the home of Mr. John Hooley of Rock Island street on Sunday. Little Thomas Tickel died from gastric fever. He was the son of Mrs. Tickel whose husband died in Livermore, Cal., three weeks ago. Mrs. Tickel was going to Massachusetts to reside with her five children stopped here to visit her brother. The funeral occurred yesterday. Rev. O. B. Waite officiating. Interment at Pine Hill.

TICKELL.

The funeral of Thomas Lawrence Tickell, eldest son of Mrs. Emma Tickell, was held Monday afternoon from the Fourteenth street M.E. church, Rev. O.B. Waite officiating. Mrs. Tickell recently lost her husband and was on her way from California to the home of her parents in Taunton, Mass. She stopped in Davenport to visit her brother, Mr. John Hooley, living on Rock Island street.The child was taken sick here with malarial and gastric fever, and died Saturday afternoon.
