Mrs. Schnellie of Bettendorf Called to Rest
Was Former Resident of Centerville for More Than 15 years.
Mrs. Christina Schnellie, 72, 1830 Cody street, Bettendorf, passed away at her home at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday after an illness of five months' duration. Mrs. Schnellie formerly lived in Centerville, Ia.' for more than 15 years.
The deceased was born in Indiana, July 4, 1822. She was united in marriage to Thomas Albert Schnellie at Centerville in the year of 1894. Mr. Schnellie preceded her in death in 1901. She made her home at Centerville from 1904 until 10 years ago when she moved to Davenport and a few year later to Bettendorf where she has resided for the last seven years. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are three daughter, Mrs. Martha Gray, Unionville, Mo.; Mrs. Abbie Clemens, Fort Worth, Tex.; Mrs. Walter Sprott, Bettendorf; two sons, David Bishop, Centerville, and Henry Hines, Davenport; and 20 grandchildren.
The body was removed to the E.A. Horrigan & Son funeral parlors where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Fredrich Nichol officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale cemetery.

The Schnellie Funeral.
Funeral services for Mrs. Christina Schnellie of 1830 Cody street, Bettendorf, were held at 2 o'clcok Thursday at the E.A. Horrigan & Son chapel. The Rev. Frederick Nichol officiated at the services at the chapel and at the grave in Oakdale cemetery. Mrs. C.G. Paddock sang, "Come They Fount of Every Blessing" and "Life Up Thine Eyes to the Hilltops".
The pallbearers were Henry Canfield, John Sproth, Henry and Lester Longeer.
