OBITUARY.

NIERMANN.

Miss Franciska Niermann, sister of Rev. A. Niermann, pastor of St. Joseph's church, died Thursday at a quarter to 2 o'clock. The cause of death was heart trouble.

The deceased was born on Feb. 9, 1827, near Munster in Westphalia, Germany. She arrived in American in 1859,coming to Davenport, where she made her home with her reverend brother, acting as his housekeeper ever since. Her death is a sad affliction to Father Niermann, as he is deserving of all the sympathy in his affliction.

The funeral took place Saturday morning at 9 o'clock with services in St. Joseph's church. Interment being made in St. Mary's cemetery.
