Patrick B. Boyd Dies; Engineer

Patrick B. Boyd, 25, of 2321 Farnam St. Davenport, who was with the Rock Island District, U.S. Corps of Engineers, died Tuesday in a hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., after an extended illness. Born in Iowa City, he attended St. Mary's High School there, St. Ambrose College, Davenport, and graduated from the University of Iowa. He had lived in Davenport for two years. In 1962 Mr. Boyd married the former Marilyn Kuebrich in Iowa City.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Beth and Kathleen, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul H. Boyd, Iowa City; three sisters, Margaret Ann and Debbie, both at home, and Mrs. James Jensen, Iowa City, and four brothers, Michael, Davenport, Jerry, Thomas and Bill, all at home. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Iowa City, with burial in a cemetery there. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday in the McGovern-Dwyer Funeral Home, Iowa City.
