DAVENPORT - Services for Helen D. Nelson, 92, of Davenport, will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation in 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Mrs. Nelson died Monday at Davenport Good Samaritan Center. She retired in 1985 from the print shop and the bookstore at Palmer College, Davenport. She had worked there since 1921.

Helen Gradert married Edward Nelson in 1924 in Davenport. He died in 1973. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Ladies of the Moose, Davenport Lodge 28; Northwest Turners Auxiliary; and Liedertaufel.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Nelson, Opp, Ala.; grandchildren, Susan Sanders, Eufaula, Ala., Julie Nelson, Birmingham, Ala., and Donald E. Nelson, Orlando, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nelson also was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Nelson, and a son, Donald E. Nelson.
