Obituary

McCULLOUGH.

Yesterday morning at a few minutes after 9 o'clock occurred the death of Mrs. Jane McCullough, widow of the late J.C. McCullough, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. J.S. Torbert. The cause of death was old age, she being 80 years old. She was born in Washington county, Pa. June 9, 1811.In 1737 she was married in Martinsburgh, Ohio, and in 1861, with her husband, removed to Davenport, which place she has been her home ever since. She was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church and in her daily life always endeavored to show forth her Christian faith.

She leaves on sister, Mrs. S.B. Dodd of Martinsburg, O., and five children to mourn her death--Mrs. A.S. Collins of New Orleans, John L McCullough and Mrs. G.K. Spencer of Manhattan, Kan., and A.R. McCullough and Mrs. Torbert of this city. She had two children who have preceded her into the great unknown one, her eldest son, died in the army in 1862.

The funeral will be held from the residence of Mrs. Torbert at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon.
