Steward

The death of Mrs. William Steward occurred Sunday afternoon shortly before 4 o'clock, the death taking place at her home on the corner of Fourteenth and Le Claire streets. The cause of death was apoplexy. The deceased became ill at 7 o'clock Sunday morning.

Mrs. Steward was born in England in 1850, coming to Davenport seven years later. She would have been 70 years of age on her birthday next May. The deceased was a lady with many personal friends and her sudden death will be a great shock to them.

Mrs. Steward is survived by her husband and four children, as follows: Mrs. S.F. Dayton of Clinton, Mrs. E. Binford of Luverne,Minn., C.S. and Charles B. Steward of Donahue.

The funeral will be held from the family residence at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Rev. George E. Rollins will officiate. On Wednesday morning the remains will be taken to Donahue for interment.
