Durant, Iowa - Services for Sabedia K. Clements, 78, of Durant will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 9 p.m. today and 9 to 9:45a.m. Friday at Sheets & Son Funeral Home, Tipton. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Clements died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital, Davenport after a brief illness.

Sabedia Reed married Kenneth Clements in 1920 in Tipton,. He preceded her in death. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Paul (Mary Viola) House, Oxford Junction, Iowa; Mrs. Charles (Laura) Mellows, Thornton, Iowa; Mrs. Lee (Cecelia) Tisinger, Durant; Mrs. Gary (Sabedia) Kean, Yorba Linda, Calif., and Mrs. James (Angela) Techau, Roseville, Calif., sons, Edward "Bud" Tipton; John, Arcadia, Calif.; Kenneth, Newton, Iowa, and Richard, Paramount, Calif.; 48 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild and sisters, Mrs. Nancy Clements, Welcome Reed, and Mrs. Johnaphene "Betty" Stepanek, all of Tipton, and Mrs. Harry (Sue) Hambilton, Rock Island.
