The Burris Funeral
Funeral services for Mrs. Loretta Burris, 209 East Tenth street, who died Saturday evening at Mercy hospital, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the M. V. Boies chapel. Burial will be made in Oakdale cemetery.
Mrs. Burris was born at Harrisburg, Pa., Sept. 2, 1860. She was married to James Burris July 22, 1891, at Muscatine, Ia., and came to Davenport in 1905, residing here since. She was a member of St John’s Methodist Episcopal church. Her husband preceded her in death in 1918 [sic - 1919].
Surviving are one son, Lloyd, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Carrie Penrod, Buffalo, Ia.; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Uhland and Mrs. E. O. Reynolds, Muscatine; and seven grandchildren.
