Avon Park, Fla. - Earl F. Dankert, 70, of Avon Park, formerly of Davenport, died Saturday at Walker Memorial Hospital. He had been a car salesman for local Quad-Cities dealerships. Private services will be held at a later date in Muscatine, Iowa. There will be no visitation.
Mr. Dankert married Fern Sharp in 1939 in Indianola, Iowa. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9128, Bettendorf.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Gary, Sebring, and Ronnie and Randall, both of Davenport; and three grandsons.
