At Syracuse, New York, on the 3rd inst., occurred the death of Mrs. Harriet B. Lee, daughter-in-law of the late Bishop H. W. Lee and a former resident of Davenport.
Concerning her death the Syracuse Post-Standard contained the following account:
Mrs. Harriet B. Lee, wife of Harry Lee of this city and mother of Miss Carolyn Lee, who is president of the Lee, Cowan & Bowen company of this city, died at 11 o'clock yesterday morning at her home on the west coast of Wellesley Island, Thousand Island Park. Death was the result of a stroke of apoplexy suffered Thursday morning.
Mrs. Lee had been in ill health for about a year. She was one of the best known of the older residents of Thousand Island Park. She was born May 1, 1839, and had been prominent here. She is survived by her husband and one daughter.
The funeral was held last night, Rev. C.E. Dorr, a former neighbor, officiating. Following the services the body was taken to Kansas City, Mo., for burial.
Miss Lee left Thursday morning for Thousand Island Park upon learning that her mother had suffered a stroke of apoplexy.
