DAVID J. LEWIS
Services for David J. Lewis, 72, of 2502 E. 18th St. Davenport, will be at 1 pm Monday in Hill & Fredericks Chapel with burial in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Mr. Lewis died Friday in his home.
Born in Lithuania, he came to this country in 1899. He married Dorothy Feltman Baer in 1940 in Manassas, Va.
Living in Rock Island until 1921, he moved to Davenport and established the David J. Lewis Real Estate and Insurance Agency in 1951 he retired.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Davenport Elks Lodge and of B'nal B'rith.
He leaves his wife and sisters Mrs. Samuel Schaefer, New York City, N.Y., Mrs. Etta Wenger, Rock Island, and Mrs. Belle Kramer, Los Angeles, Calif.
Three sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
