Ellis Gilbert
Services for Ellis G. Gilbert, 88, formerly of 129 18th Ave. A., Moline, will be 2:30pm today at Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Gilbert died Monday at Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island.
He retired from the former International Harvester Farmall Plant, Rock Island.
Mr. Gilbert married Ida Mae Elly. He later married Orpha Johnson in 1961 in East Moline. She died in 1969.
He was a 35-year member of Eagles Lodge, Clinton, Iowa.
Survivores include a daughter, Wanetta Freed, Fairmount, Ill; a stepdaughter, Velma Potter, Ava, Mo., a stepson, Merle Ruhs, Moline; a grandson; seven step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Florence Hartriek and May Hollenstine, both of Quincy, Ill.
