Clifford K Sleeper, 59, of 1310 25th Ave Rock Osland, died tody in the Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley, where he had resided the past week. Services will be 1pm Thursday in the Hodgson Chapel. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Mr Sleeper was employed as a mechanic for the City of Rock Island. He was previously employed at the Fred Piehl automobile agency.
He was born in Delmar Iowa. He married Phyllis Westensee in 1934 in Maquoketa Iowa.
Mr Sleeper is survived by his wife, daughters, Mrs Robert Neumann, Davenport; Mrs Stan Schmidt and Mrs Hope Lamp, both of Rock Island; and Miss Sharon Sleeper at home; sons Clifford L. Lancaster Calif; and Michael J, Davenport: nine granchildren: sisters Mrs Frank Lohmeier, Maquoketa, and Mrs Leonard Wynkoop, Wyoming Iowa, and brothers, Harlan, Mason city, Iowa; Donald ALbert, Lea Minnesota; Ray, San Francisco Calif; and Aly Rialto, Calif.
