Stryker.
Mrs. Emily C. Stryker, 1005 East Fifteenth street, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.L. Truit, at 4:45 this morning after a long illness. She was 84 years of age.

Miss Sutphen was born in Somerset county, N.J., on Dec. 25, 1838, and received her education in the Somerset county schools. On Oct. 21, 1858, she was united in marriage to Henry Stryker, who died in 1908. In 1909, she removed to Des Moines to live with her daughter, and later came with her to Davenport. Mrs. Stryker was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. C.L. Truit of Davenport and Miss Lillian Stryker; one grandson, R.S. Truitt, also of this city; and a sister residing in Millstone, N.J.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the chapel at 413 Harrison street, and the body will later be taken to Millstone, N.J., for interment.
