Death of an Iowa Journalist.

George H. Ballou, for thirty years one of the brightest journalists of Iowa, died the other day in Davenport. He had been engaged in newspaper work most of the time since he was 16 years of age, and at the time of his death was connected with the Davenport Democrat, of which he was city editor for a number of years. He was 57 years of age.
