Allen J. "Allie" Wright, a well know Ford car dealer in the McCausland, Iowa vicinity, died in his home there at 6:00 pm Monday following five years of ill health. He was 71 years of age. The son of Jahial and Laura Wright, Allen Wright was born in Wheaton, Illinois Sept 24, 1874. When he was still a child the family moved to Fenton, Illinois, where he received his education and later with his brother, took over the hardware store and implement business. They also established the Wright Brother's garage and Allen Wright was the authorized Ford dealer in the McCausland are for many years.

Surviving are his wife the former Edna B. Swartz, whom he married in McCausland Nov 26, 1902, a son, Loyal I. of Davenport, a daughter, Mrs Mayburn LeBage, McCausland, a brother, Emery J. Wright, also of McCausland and five grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs Fanny Colville and Mrs Carrie Wright preceded him in death. The body was removed to the McGinnis Funeral home and was returned to the family home in McCausland Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services will be held in the Methodist church there at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rec. Fred Mastin, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in the McCausland cemetery.
