Sunday Rites Planned for Adolph Reimers

Wilton Junction, Ia. – Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Griffith funeral home, Wilton Junction, for Adolph Reimers, 77, who died Friday [24 Sep 1954] in a nursing home here. Burial will be in Maysville cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.

Mr. Reimers, a retired farmer, lived in Eldridge before moving here three years ago. He was born in Holstein, Germany April 13, 1877. He married Mary Husen Feb. 7, 1907, in Davenport. He was of Lutheran faith.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Donald E. Smith [nee Amelia Reimers], Wilton Junction; two brothers, Emil and Rudolph, both of Davenport; five sisters, Mrs. Martha Harms, Echo, Minn.; Miss Mary Reimers and Mrs. Clara Jens [Joens], both of Davenport; Mrs. Alma Schwartz [Schwarz], Long Grove, and Mrs. Nora Schwenn, Portland, Ore.; and three grandchildren.
