Mrs. S. Scott, 34 dies after long illiness
Former Muscatine County woman Summoned in Davenport
Mrs. Kathryn E. Scott, former Muscatine county woman, died at 9:45pm Monday, at the family home, 180 East Twelfth street, following an extended illness. She was 34 years of ae at the time of her death.
Mrs. Scott was born in Muscatine County on Feb. 21, 1894, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Smith. She was united in marriage to Sylvester H. Scott at Clinton, Ia., on April 30, 1917.
Since 1912 she has been a resident of Davenport having moved here with her parents at that time. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving besides the widower are two daughters, Kathleen and Betty, at home; her mother, Mrs. Fannie S. Smith of Davenport and one sister, Mrs. R. Clark of Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m. Thursday at the Hill & Frederick's chapel after which the body will be taken to Muscatine, Ia. Services will be held there at 1:30pm Thursday in the Greenwood chapel with burial in Greenwood cemetery.
