Henry Seemann, 71, R.R. No. 2, Davenport, life resident of Scott county, died at 5:50 p.m. Monday in St. Luke’s hospital following an illness of the past two weeks.
Son of the late Dora and Charles Seemann, he was born in Davenport Nov. 24, 1875, attended the Davenport schools and was married to Dora Hoffmann in this city in 1898. For many years he operated gardens at his home just outside the city limits.
Surviving, in addition to the widow, are a daughter Mrs. Edward Wagner, Ely, Nev.; two sons, Chris and Charles, both at home; two grandchildren; a sister, Miss Hattie l. Seemann and two brothers, Edward and Fred Seemann, all of Davenport. A brother, Julius, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held in the Runge chapel at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by burial at Fairmount cemetery. Friends are welcome to attend the services at the chapel but interment at Fairmount cemetery will be private.
