Life Resident of County, Dies

Rudolph H. Hoffmann, 67, life resident of Scott county, died at his home on North Harrison street road at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, following a lingering illness.
Born in Davenport Aug. 7, 1871, he was educated here and on May 27, 1893 was married to Miss Ida Nilson here. The couple farmed in Rockingham township until 1923 when they moved to their present home. Mr. Hoffmann was a member of camp No. 27, Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving are the widow; one daughter, Miss Deloris, Omaha, Nebr.; two sons, Henry J., at home and Fred R. Hoffman, Davenport; and three grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Ida Thiel, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Runge chapel at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery.
